"Everyone was very helpful and overall the experience was great. We recommend it. A big thank you to all the experienced curlers that offered their tips and tricks. Everyone had a positive attitude and it was a pleasure to learn. The guidebook that was followed, seemed to progress, in my opinion, too slowly. We are looking forward to curling again. Thank you again for the pizza and for providing a fun learning experience." -Chantal
"I was definitely skeptical of my abilities after week 1, but found that the course progressed in a way that allowed total beginners like me to find our footing and build our confidence. Major kudos to Dave for his patience and enthusiasm. He made it very fun for us all. Shane, Jeff, and Alain were all really helpful and encouraging when they were with us too. I will definitely recommend this program to anyone I know who wants to learn to curl too." - Angela
“This program was very well run and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning the sport… Overall it was an enjoyable experience for me, and I intend to join a league event next year.” - Kate
"I am writing to let you know how I feel about the Monday night Learn to Curl. I wanted to say how lucky we are to have such great teachers. All are extremely helpful and patient. My game has improved a lot since the first week and it seems that everyone else's has as well. I could not have expected it to be as good as it is. I'm really excited to continue to curl at CCC." - Michael
“Dear Cumberland Curling Club, I would like to send a huge thank you to the Learn to Curl Team. On the first day, Dave said that his goal was to have us sign up. Well, he certainly did his job. My son Louie and I had an amazing time. David welcomed everyone. Even though Louie is only 10, he was welcomed, the learning was so well scaffolded and differentiated. My wife, Kazuko, who is a new Canadian came once and got the red carpet treatment as well. As did my daughter. Dave, Jeff, Shane and Alain really took the time to give us the fundamentals while keeping it accessible and fun. I had never curled at all, but I feel more more prepared to hit the ice. Everything from how to warm up, where to buy equipment, giving next steps, no stone was left unturned. I would like to give a huge tip of the hat to the whole team. Our family REALLY appreciates it.” - With appreciation and gratitude, Mike and family
