Membership Details

Welcome!

The Cumberland Curling Club (CCC) curling season runs from October until early April. Our registration model consists of two components. The first is your base membership fee and the second is your individual league fees. Members are welcome and encouraged to join more than one league. Fees will be capped at ‘membership plus three leagues’, meaning that your fourth, fifth, and sixth leagues are free

The Board recently completed an in-depth analysis of our operating costs, as well as an analysis of membership fees in the surrounding area. The Club is still one of the most cost-effective Clubs to be a member at in the area.

Unless otherwise noted, membership includes your Ottawa Valley Curling Association (OVCA) and CurlON fees and funds to maintain and improve CCC's building and facilities on both sides of the glass. HST is included in the prices shown.

Before registering for any program or league, please review Cumberland Curling Club's Refund Policy.

Volunteering

Cumberland Curling Club is a volunteer-run and volunteer-maintained club that relies on its members to volunteer throughout the year to keep our costs low. Members are required to concierge/bartend during evening leagues and rentals.

EVENING LEAGUES: Evening league teams are expected to volunteer up to four shifts at the bar during evening leagues, which run from Tuesday to Friday. Shifts will be assigned to teams at the beginning of the season, and it will be the teams' responsibility to determine which members will cover the shifts. If teams cannot cover their shifts, it is their responsibility to find a replacement.

WEEKEND RENTALS: All teams are expected to volunteer one shift at the bar during weekend rentals. Weekends will be assigned to teams at the beginning of the year, and it will be the teams' responsibility to determine which members will cover the shifts. If teams cannot cover their shifts, it is their responsibility to find a replacement.

WEEKDAY RENTALS: Daytime league members will be required to take on concierge responsibilities for weekday rentals. The bar is typically not open for weekday rentals. Shifts will be assigned once weekday rentals are booked.

To serve alcohol, all bartenders must provide proof of being Smart Serve Certified. Online training is $44.95 ($29.95 for recertification) and will be reimbursed by the Club. Certification is valid for 5 years (or per Smart Serve.ca).

Other volunteer opportunities are available in support of the Club and its membership. Please let us know if you are interested in getting involved!
