Join our comprehensive full-season Adult Learn-to-Curl Program at the Cumberland Curling Club!
Experience a structured 8-week lesson plan where you'll learn the essentials of curling – from delivering a rock to sweeping, and eventually 'skipping' a game! Our friendly environment ensures a supportive learning atmosphere. Then, put your skills into action during the second half of the season in an instructional league exclusively for Learn-to-Curl participants.
Equipment
We have plenty of brooms, sliding crutches and some curling sticks available on site.
For maximum stability and enjoyment, we recommend that you purchase a pair of curling shoes. If you prefer not to purchase curling shoes, you will play with shoe attachments called grippers (2), and a slider (1) on a CLEAN (reserved) pair of shoes exclusively for the ice. We have extra grippers and sliders at the Club if you arrive without them.

Testimonials
"I was definitely skeptical of my abilities after week 1 but found that the course progressed in a way that allowed total beginners like me to find our footing and build our confidence.
Major kudos to Dave for his patience and enthusiasm. He made it very fun for us all. Shane, Jeff, and Alain were all really helpful and encouraging when they were with us too. I will definitely recommend this program to anyone I know who wants to learn to curl too." - Angela
"This program was very well run and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning the sport…Overall it was an enjoyable experience for me, and I intend to join a league event next year.” - Kate
“On the first day, Dave said that his goal was to have us sign up. Well, he certainly did his job...the learning was so well scaffolded and differentiated. My wife, who is a new Canadian came once and got the red carpet treatment as well.
Dave, Jeff, Shane and Alain really took the time to give us the fundamentals while keeping it accessible and fun. I had never curled at all, but I feel more more prepared to hit the ice. Everything from how to warm up, where to buy equipment, giving next steps, no stone was left unturned. I would like to give a huge tip of the hat to the whole team. Our family REALLY appreciates it.” - With appreciation and gratitude, Mike and family
"I wanted to say how lucky we are to have such great teachers. All are extremely helpful and patient. My game has improved a lot since the first week and it seems that everyone else’s has as well.
I could not have expected it to be as good as it is. I’m really excited to continue to curl at CCC.” - Michael
